Destination Specialist
Do you have a passion for the South Pacific? Do you possess excellent customer service skills? Can you paint a picture over the phone?
Down Under Answers, a multi-award winning travel wholesaler to Australia, New Zealand and the Islands is looking for a Destination Specialist to assist clients with planning their independent travel arrangements and escorted group travel.
You will be part of a professional team of travel specialists dedicated to choreographing creative and functional vacations. Telephone and email communication skills must be at an optimum. Down Under Answers destination specialists must also possess a flexible attitude, strong esprit de corps and the ability to demonstrate grace under pressure when required.
Comprehensive training is provided on destination and product to those with no prior experience, however travel industry background is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits package included.
Destination Specialist - Africa
Do you have a passion for Africa? Do you possess excellent customer service skills? Africa Answers is a newly launched division of the multi-award winning travel wholesaler to Australia, New Zealand and the Islands – Down Under Answers. Africa Answers is seeking a Destination Specialist who is eager to get in at the beginning and be part of this rapidly growing division. You will be part of a professional team of travel specialists dedicated to choreographing creative and functional vacations. Telephone and email communication skills must be at an optimum. Africa Answers destination specialists must also possess a flexible attitude, strong esprit de corps and the ability to demonstrate grace under pressure when required.
Requirements:
- Intimate knowledge of Southern Africa, East Africa, and Egypt as vacation destinations
- Previous experience in selling these destinations; knowledge of Australia & New Zealand useful as well
- Knowledge of Amadeus, TourPlan and Televantage helpful
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel essential
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight project timelines
- Ability to use initiative to create new systems/procedures
- International travel experience
- Excellent references
