Take a journey to the highlights of Southern Australia and experience Melbourne, Hobart & Adelaide with a visit to the gateway to The Great Barrier Reef, Cairns!

The Great Ocean Road is one of the world’s most spectacular coastal drives.  The journey features huge cliffs, surf beaches, tranquil bays, the Otway National Park’s lush rainforests, wildlife and the towering rock stacks of the Twelve Apostles in Port Campbell National Park.  On Phillip Island wildlife awaits you.  Only 90 minutes from Melbourne, each night at dusk the Little Penguins, the world’s smallest penguins waddle from the ocean to their burrows.  Also on Phillip Island see cuddly koalas in their natural habitat, and Australia’s largest fur seal colony.

Hobart offers a provocative mix of historic and contemporary art and culture.  Head down to Salamanca Place where you will find 19th-century waterfront warehouses dating back to the 1830s whaling days. Today, they house cafes, restaurants, galleries and art studios, the ideal place to wander or enjoy alfresco dining. Polished glass winks in the windows of settlers’ cottages in nearby Battery Point, and brass doorknobs gleam in the lofty porches of colonial edifices. Hobart is a city of warm sandstone, bright spinnakers on the water, fish punts at the docks and coffee under the sun umbrellas of Salamanca where the famous Salamanca Market is held every Saturday.  Get involved in Hobart’s busy arts scene. You can take in art, craft, music and theater at Salamanca Arts Centre and the surrounding warehouses. Learn about the Island and the city’s history and contemporary life at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery on Macquarie Street.  See Tasmanian Devils at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary or visit MONA Museum of Old and New Art!

Fly from Hobart to Adelaide, a beautiful city that has colonial heritage.  Surrounded by parklands, historic buildings, and churches, Adelaide offers a blend of the old and new. Visit the Adelaide Central Market, or go wine tasting in the world-renowned Barossa Valley. No Australian vacation is complete without a visit to Australia’s zoo without cages, Kangaroo Island or “KI” as the locals call it, home to a wide range of native animals and spectacular beaches.  If you want to experience authentic Australia in a limited amount of time, Kangaroo Island is your must-see destination.  The island retains a rich diversity of wildlife & koalas are abundant on the island.  It remains one of the few places in Australia where you can see them in the wild and cuddle a Koala.

From Melbourne travel north to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. The region is as diverse in natural treasures as the cosmopolitan mix of cultures and peoples that call this region home. The majestic coral structures that make up the Great Barrier Reef extend over 930 miles, and provides superb recreational activities such as snorkeling, diving, swimming, semi-submersibles, coral viewing and fishing, and offers a unique environment for scientific research.  The rainforests of the Wet Tropics, a ‘living museum’ of flora and fauna, were placed on the World Heritage List in 1988 and cover an area of nearly 900,000 hectares of rainforest and tropical vegetation. Here, pockets of primitive plants have remained undisturbed for millions of years, and rare, even previously unidentified species of birds, insects and mammals have emerged to delight biologists and nature lovers.
